So I’ve been adding and maintaining this uber rack for a few years, the other day I snagged a Dell 2161DS IP KVM with 8 SIP’s for a mere $300. It’s the device directly under the monitor.

Other cool things in the rack:

• Dual ESE NTP Timecode Servers. (Very top)
• APC NetBotz RackBotz 400 (Thing with the camera lense in the middle)
• APC InfraStruXure Manager (Under the netbotz)
• 3Com 3300XM Switch
• Dell PowerEdge 2500 (Dual 1.4GHz) — It’s my ClarkConnect Linux Router
• A few other misc “white box” servers (VoIP PBX, VMWare, MythTV Backend)
• APC Smart-UPS 3000RM2 w/ AP9617 Card
• APC Share-UPS (not viable because it’s 0U’d in the back)
• IBM Netbay PDU (not viable because it’s 0U’d in the back)
• APC Smart-Slot Expansion Chassis (not viable because it’s 0U’d in the back)

Next additions will be an rackmount KMM (Keyboard, Monitor, Mouse) that will take a 10th of the space the current monitor does. An APC Environmental Monitor, and a Terminal Server for all the out of band management.

The rack itself is an IBM NetBay11, decommissioned from the ever so unpopular Lycos Search Engine

Me and Brian put a flashpaper gun together a few weeks ago, it’s shoots fireballs a few feet.

So I picked up this wallmount rack a bit ago and finally threw it up there, it came with a bunch of patch panels filled with keystone jacks that will be installed throughout the house–since I already have a patch panel…  To the right is a Netbotz Wallbotz  300B to send me emails about the garage being 112 degrees….Florida fails.

So I just got a JVC RX-D301 7.1 Receiver off woot a few days ago for like ~$105

So far I’m impressed–it outperforms the Sony receiver we have that is 3x the size and about a year and a half old. I’ve only got 5 speakers hooked up so far but hell there isn’t any 7.1 dvds yet anyway…cool feature is a little usb soundcard it comes with to send audio from a computer to it wirelessly, l33t. Also has a USB-B jack on the front to plug it directly into a computer to work as a soundcard

Front L/F and Surround L/F Speakers are Cambridge SoundWorks THX something or other.

Center is some POS Panasonic I took off my brother’s 5.1 system

I picked up rockband the other day for my 360, I had a bunch of gamestop gift cards and some amex ones too. Paid like $12 out of pocket. It’s fun so far but $2 a song to download additional is a bit much. I’ll probably only play it for another week before I get bored of it…

Step 1: Load your SD card with lots ‘o pictures

Step 2: Proceed to your nearest BestBuy

Step 3: Find a photo printer that has paper (or load it yourself) and insert your SD card

Step 4: Print, Print, Print.

Step 5: Put some of your newly printed pictures into their display to help show off the quality of the printers

A buddy gave me this awhile ago and it sat in a corner until today…

I did this a few nights ago and was slightly impressed…

I wonder how many responses this ad will receive….
